Daniel Howery, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Development

danMr. Daniel Howery has over 20 years of experience in every facet of hotel and resort management. His expertise encompasses hotel acquisitions, new hotel development, hotel renovations and general management of boutique and luxury hotels and resorts. Mr. Howery attended Nebraska State University where is majored in Business. In 1983 Mr. Howery served as part of the pre opening management team at The Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska. The hotel earned a four-diamond rating and contains 300 guest rooms, 25,000 sq ft of meeting space and 2 fine dining restaurants. The Cornhusker Hotel is owned by Los Angeles based real estate developer David Murdock. From 1987 to 1997 Mr. Howery served as general manager or food and beverage manager at a number of well known luxury resorts and hotels, including the Scottsdale Princess Resort, Regal McCormick Ranch and the Enchantment Resort. The Scottsdale Princess Resort, for instance, is a five diamond resort, spread over 450 acres including 650 guest rooms, 2 professional 18 hole golf courses, 50,000 sq ft of meeting space, 4 restaurants, a jazz/night club and piano bar, a spa and retail stores. In 1995 Mr. Howery relocated to Los Angeles, California where is assisted with the multi million dollar renovation of the Buena Park Hotel and Conference Center in Orange County, California. He then accepted a position with LUXE Worldwide Hotels where he was responsible for completing a $16 million dollar renovation of the LUXE Rodeo Drive hotel located in the Golden Triangle in Beverly Hills, California. When the renovation was completed Mr. Howery continued on with LUXE and served as the general manager of both the LUXE Hotel on Rodeo Drive as well as the general manager of LUXE Summit Hotel & Spa, located in the BelAir market of Los Angeles, California. Mr. Howery was then promoted to become the Senior Vice President of LUXE Hotels Worldwide giving him responsibility of the operations and sales and marketing efforts for the 200 plus hotels they represent globally, as well as overseeing their Los Angeles based reservations call center, GDS technology and business development. In 2002, Mr. Howery joined The Ambrose Hotel Group and served as Vice President with responsibility for all hotel operations, specifically including new hotel development and hotel management. Upon joining the Ambrose Hotel Group Mr. Howery immediately took over responsibility for the development of the Ambrose Hotel in Santa Monica, California and spearheaded the identification of the site and the pre development work for the Ray Hotel in Venice, California. Both hotels were designed to be luxury boutique hotels as well as green hotels. Under Mr. Howerys management, The Ambrose in Santa Monica achieved occupancy of over 90% in 2005 and over 93% in 2006. Additionally, the hotel achieved an annualized average daily rate above the competitive set average for hotels located within its trade area. In 2006, Mr. Howery joined Palmer Hospitality Group as their Chief Operating Officer. He remains active on the Advisory Committee and Board of Directors for several restaurant associations, as well as the Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Pam Richardson

Pam Richardson has been managing hotel operations since 1980. Her career has been quite varied, ranging from overseeing the food & beverage operation of a 4 star hotel Jumers Castle Lodge in Urbana, Illinois, to Regional Director overseeing owned, managed, and franchised properties for Forte Hotels, to General Manager for Hilton and Kimpton property and as Vice President of Operations of Lake San Marcos Resort & Country Club.
One of the common denominators in the vast majority of Ms. Richardsons experience involves turn around and repositioning properties to achieve strong bottom line profit improvements for ownership.

Recognition for her work over the years includes

  • Honored by the County of San Diego with the designation of Pamela Richardson Day on July 15, 2005

Ms. Richardson is Past President for the California Hotel & Lodging Association. She is also a Past President of the San Diego County Hotel-Motel Association, and has served as a Director on the boards of the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, the San Diego North Convention and Visitors Bureau, and other volunteer boards. In addition to the above, she also served for three years on the Economic Development & Tourism Support Panel for the City of San Diego.

Frank Okun

Hotel Yield Services, founded by Frank Okun in 2005, provides remote revenue management services for hotels of all sizes and markets.

Services include but are not limited to weekly pace and forecast reports, rate and inventory strategy and implementation, competitive set analysis, OTA/CRS/PMS systems management, weekly RevMax conference calls, and market mix reporting and analysis. Frank and his team manage revenue for hotels in Hawaii, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and New Mexico.

Franks team has experience in a multitude of systems and software products, including RoomMaster, Opera, Autoclerk, WebRezPro and NiteVision / SynXis, iHotelier, Pegasus, InnLink, and brand systems such as Carlson, Best Western and Wyndham / EZ Yield, ChannelRush, and Rate Tiger.

Nancy has been responsible for managing the overall PR, marketing and branding programs for many international clients. Since founding NU PR, Nancy has overseen the public relations programs and launches for a number of recognizable Bay Area and Hawaii hotels and restaurants. Working with these clients, she has raised the level of visibility for these businesses through the creation of strategic campaigns and garnering placements in the local, regional and national media. Prior to NU PR, Nancy worked at several prominent agencies in San Francisco and New York and was responsible for the management of a number of the firms key travel and hospitality accounts.
